Privacy Policy

Almasia Ventures places great importance on protecting your personal data. This policy explains how your information is collected, used, and protected in connection with the Gold Price app, in accordance with Moroccan Law No. 09-08 on personal data protection.

What does this policy apply to?

This privacy policy applies to Gold Price, available as a mobile app for iOS and Android. It does not apply to third-party websites, even when linked from the app.

Data controller

The data controller is ALMASIA VENTURES SAS, registered with the Casablanca Trade Register under No. 711863, with its registered office at 45, Rue Abdelkader Mouftakar, 2nd floor, Apartment 4, Casablanca, Morocco.

Data collected

Before creating an account

From the first launch, the app collects anonymous technical data needed to operate and improve the service:

  • a unique, randomly generated installation identifier stored securely on your device;
  • the platform used (iOS or Android);
  • the app version;
  • your device language and the language selected in the app;
  • your device time zone.

Welcome screen responses

If you complete this screen, the following responses are also recorded:

  • your usage profile (professional or individual);
  • your reference market city.

Account creation and management

When creating your account, we collect:

  • your email address;
  • an automatically generated account identifier;
  • a one-time verification code sent by email to confirm your identity.

Use of the app

As you use the app, we may collect:

  • your price alert thresholds and direction (increase or decrease);
  • your notification preferences;
  • your consent to receive marketing communications by email or push notification;
  • activity timestamps, including first use, last activity, and account linking date.

Technical notification identifiers

To send notifications, the app may store on your device and transmit to our technical providers a push token required to route messages to your device.

Data stored locally on your device

  • the installation identifier and login information in a secure area of your device;
  • a cache of recently viewed prices for offline access;
  • your language preferences and welcome screen status.

Data not collected

Gold Price does not collect sensitive data within the meaning of Law No. 09-08. The app does not collect your name, postal address, telephone number, geolocation data, or any device advertising identifier (IDFA or GAID).

Purposes of processing

Your data is processed for the following purposes:

  • Service operation : creating and securing your account, sending price alerts, and displaying gold prices;
  • Personalization : adapting the app to your usage profile, reference market city, and language;
  • Transactional notifications : sending configured price alerts, subject to operating-system authorization;
  • Marketing communications : sending news and commercial information by email or push notification. Email marketing is enabled by default when an account is created and can be disabled in the app settings. Push marketing requires prior explicit consent;
  • Analysis and improvement : anonymous statistical monitoring of app adoption and use to improve the service;
  • Advertising measurement : when we run advertising campaigns, installation and in-app event data may be shared with advertising measurement partners (for example Meta or TikTok), through our attribution provider, for the sole purpose of measuring campaign performance. This data contains no device advertising identifier and does not allow you to be tracked across other apps or websites. Outside of such campaigns, no data is shared with advertising networks.

Retention period

Your data is retained for as long as necessary for the purposes for which it was collected:

  • Account data : retained while your account is active. When your account is deleted, personal data such as email, preferences, alerts, and registered devices is erased;
  • Installation data : when your account is deleted, the account identifier is detached from the installation record, which is retained in anonymized form for statistical purposes;
  • Technical notification data : push tokens and delivery history are deleted or anonymized when your account is deleted;
  • Local data : data stored on your device, including cache and preferences, remains until the app is uninstalled.

Legal retention

Some data may be retained longer when required by law, including to comply with a legal obligation or in the event of a dispute.

Recipients and hosting

Your data is intended for authorized Almasia Ventures teams and technical service providers acting as processors under instructions and appropriate confidentiality safeguards.

These providers support infrastructure hosting, authentication, notification delivery, marketing communications, and install attribution measurement (AppsFlyer).

When we run advertising campaigns, our attribution provider may transmit installation and event data to the advertising platforms involved (for example Meta or TikTok), for the sole purpose of measuring campaign performance. This data contains no device advertising identifier.

Data may be hosted in the European Economic Area or, for certain technical services, in the United States. Transfers outside Morocco are governed by appropriate technical and organizational measures in accordance with Articles 43 et seq. of Law No. 09-08.

Your rights

Under Law No. 09-08, you have the following rights regarding your data:

  • Right of access : obtain confirmation that your data is processed and receive a copy;
  • Right to rectification : have inaccurate or incomplete data corrected;
  • Right to deletion : request erasure of your data. You can delete your account directly in the app under Settings > Delete account;
  • Right to object : object to the processing of your data, particularly for direct marketing.

Exercising your rights

You may exercise these rights at any time by writing to dpo@almasiaventures.com. A response will be provided within the time limits set by law.

7.

Security

Almasia Ventures implements appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.

Access to your data is strictly limited to authorized Almasia Ventures personnel bound by confidentiality obligations.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated to reflect legal, regulatory, or technical developments. The version in force is the one published on this page.
